Changing to Annealed raw material

Annealing or magnetic annealing shall be done after machining process to stabilize the magnetic properties for some magnetic stainless steel products. After annealing, finishing was required, which leads to extra jobs and longer lead time.

Process: Machining > Annealing > Finishing

Annealing to raw material before machining process could increase in raw material costs, but it also eliminates finishing process and total product costs will be lower.

Process: Annealing on raw material > Machining
