Adding Copper on Stainless steel material

Updated: Jun 1, 2022

Stainless steel SUS303 in JIS, or X10CrNiS18-9 in ISO 15510 or EN 1.4305 or AISI 303 are often used for shafts as free-cutting stainless steel, but its machinability, surface roughness control as well as burr prevention is better in steel material.

Adding copper on this grade of stainless steel material, becoming SUS303Cu in JIS or X12CrNiCuS18-9-3 ISO15510 in ISO 15510 has significant improvement in machinability and high surface roughness which prevents from producing burrs that reduce production costs.

We, E&H Precision has considerable experiences in producing turned parts with Steel, Stainless steel, Brass, Copper, Aluminum.
